This precious “goto de fornase” drinking glass made with gold leaf and murrina is Venetian craftsmanship translated into glass: Barena is Venice.
The eye is drawn to the colourful patterns, reminiscent of elegant tapestries that decorate the palaces along the Grand Canal still today. This “goto” glass features a Murano glass in murrine millefiori, covered by a fine dusting of gold leaf: it almost looks as if the murrine are peeking through a golden lens. This glass is unique in its pastel hued interior surface, with blue, red, violet, light blue, green and crystal glass.
Each “goto de fornasa” bears Imperio Rossi master glassmaker's signature; like all “goti de fornasa” glasses, it is born from the creative energy of the master glassmaker in the instant of creation, and is a unique, unrepeatable piece of art.
