Making glass in Murano means carrying forward a thousand-year-old tradition, a history of knowledge, secrets and craft. Therefore, the mission of the company is to protect this precious heritage. In addition, the company owns the success of its numerous collections thanks to two main factors. The first one is using the secrets and techniques of the biggest master glassmakers. And the second factor is a fruitful collaboration with the most famous interior decorators in Italy and around the world. Because the Ferro family has been present in Murano’s glass industry since the 1200′s, FerroMurano is a leader in the Murano glass industry. This is also thanks to its development of a know-how, its tradition and its technology.
As a result of the continuous research and experimentation that has distinguished it through the years, FerroMurano now embarks a new challenge: production of Murano glass panes, in various sizes and iridescent colors, infinite decorations and unique mixes, for design, interior and exterior decorating.
FerroMurano tears down a new frontier. By overcoming the traditional product concept, it develops an architectural system for a unique pane in different shapes, sizes and colors, with clear, opaque and semi-opaque finishes. The use of a highly innovative technology exalts the technical qualities of the material. Moreover, the ensemble of its extraordinary aesthetic value qualifies it as a choice product for exterior and interior panelling.
The Yalos line purpose is to join the ancient artisanal craft to a modern, rigorous design in avant-garde geometries. As a result, light, colours, shape, precious heritage become luxurious decorative elements.
FerroMurano, and thus Yalos, are a member of the Promovetro Consortium. This gathers glass-making companies that follow the traditional Murano glass criteria. Its identification code is n. 007 of the “Vetro Artistico®Murano” trademark. This certification is accorded only to furnaces that manufacture glass in Murano.
