All the elegance of the Moorish Idol fish species is represented perfectly in this Muranese piece. The very shape of this sculpture draws the eye; it almost seems to spring to life, in a burst of light and colour, to swim away from its pedestal off into faraway seas.

The "sommerso" technique separates the colours in a unique, delicate way, giving each layer of glass a life of its own. A dynamic and whimsical sculpture, that will bring joy to every room of your home.

Vetreria Artistica Oball

The Vetreria Artistica Oball established by Luigi Onesto and then assisted by his sons Fabio and Michele, has been operating since over 30 years.

Mainly operating in the gift and interior decoratin items since always. Our production is featured by the material and design quality committment; our products are hand made using the most antique and traditional glass processing techniques. Today, all products are conceived and designed by Fabio and Michele Onesto.

This technique (meaning "submerged") involves dipping a thick glass object back into the melting pot to coat it with an equally thick layer of glass of a different colour.

The overlapping colours create a peculiar chromatic effect in the solid glass.
