The name of Nemo brings to mind two very different characters from popular culture: the first, historical one, is the legendary Captain Nemo, hero of Jules Verne's fantastical tales; the other, more whimsical, is the playful young clownfish of a recent animated film. Whichever interpretation you choose to give to this name, our Nemo remains an amazing sculptural representation of the amazing, yet straightforward and simple, strength of the sea.

The"sommerso" technique of glass manufacturing creates layers of colour that reflect light. The molten glass is blown and dipped into ever-changing layers of different colours, giving life to this splendid piece of art. Not just a fish, but a simbol of the abyss, created by the skilled hands of our master glassmakers.

Vetreria Artistica Oball

The Vetreria Artistica Oball established by Luigi Onesto and then assisted by his sons Fabio and Michele, has been operating since over 30 years.

Mainly operating in the gift and interior decoratin items since always. Our production is featured by the material and design quality committment; our products are hand made using the most antique and traditional glass processing techniques. Today, all products are conceived and designed by Fabio and Michele Onesto.

SOMMERSO

This technique (meaning "submerged") involves dipping a thick glass object back into the melting pot to coat it with an equally thick layer of glass of a different colour.

The overlapping colours create a peculiar chromatic effect in the solid glass.
